Hi, Emily Angwin! I’m an international news anchor, journalist, and event moderator. I’m currently living in Malaysia with my husband and baby boy, while working and also completing a Masters of International Relations.
I’ve previously worked in the Middle East, Asia and Australia, as well as been deployed to South Africa and Brazil.
I’m a freelance reporter in Kuala Lumpur after having been based in Manila during 2023 and 2024.
Before spending time in Malaysia and the Philippines, I was a Senior Anchor for Al Jazeera in Qatar where I hosted the News Hour, Inside Story and daily bulletins.
I’m a passionate storyteller and communicator and began my media career in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia and now have 18 years of broadcast experience spanning three continents.
